Most events on this list can be tied to a specific page somewhere on the internet.  List entries contain links to such pages through the "Details".   Occasionally events have no such page or the information on it is inadequate.  In such cases I attempt to cobble together a details page myself.

Brockton Public Library is hosting a science fair workshop on January 23, 2016, 2:00-4:30 p.m. for students who would like to improve their skills in doing a science project.

Patricia Monteith, co-founder of Mr. Science, has vast experience in guiding students to award winning projects, including Adrian Niles who modified Segway has won national prizes such as the NAACP ACT-SO, as well as the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Massachusetts State Science and engineering Fair, and trips to the White House and Los Angeles. Ms. Monteith will give the essentials of how to get started on a science fair project, develop the project from idea to display and presentation, and supply handouts, examples, displays, and resources. She also has suggestions for those future scientists on a budget. She will help students finalize their projects.

The program is free and open to the public. Please sign up in the Children’s Room, call 508-7890 x.301, or email lshannon@ocln.org to register.
